In today's Daily Fix: Legendary studio BioWare is being shut down, as mass layoffs hit owner Electronic Arts. Around fifty employees at BioWare are being let go, with the rest presumably moved to different teams. As a result, the next Mass Effect game that was teased years ago has been canceled. And in other news, a new report from Bloomberg suggests the new Xbox Project Helix console could cost as much as $1,800 if Microsoft decides to not subsidize or eat the cost of some of the components.
